Our Worship

Worship is an outward expression of an inward relationship with God.  The focus is upward rather then inward.  Our worship at Word of Grace is a reflection of the desire to grow closer to our Heavenly Father.  The music style is contemporary, with total freedom for the individual to worship how they feel comfortable without judgment or condemnation.

Our song base comes from the modern worship of Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Morning Star, Delirious?... as well as songs from the Vineyard and other various worship artists.  We are also blessed with several gifted musicians who add original worship songs to our services.

Another aspect of our worship is the prophetic voice.  The Bible offers many examples of God using music as a vehicle to direct and encourage His people.  With that in mind, we pattern our worship not as a program for entertainment, but as a conversation with a loving Father.

As well as our contemporary Praise Team, we also have a church choir, led by Brenda John, which ministers once every month or so through spiritual songs of a different tenure. This helps provide differing genres or music for various worshipping styles.
